I am not a huge sports fan, but one of my coworkers plays for the arena football game in my city so I decided to go and show my support.

Sitting outside in the blazing heat does not appeal to me, although many people do not seem to mind doing that. When I found out that local football is inside (again not a big sports fan so I did not know), I felt a sense of relief. We did have to wait in a long line outside to get tickets, so I was ready to feel the relief of air conditioning. As soon as we entered the stadium, I felt so much better from the air conditioning. I felt nice and cool throughout the whole game, thanks to the A/C. I kept thinking that if the same game were outside, this would be a completely different experience, and probably would not have been a pleasant one. There were a lot of people there, and everyone seemed to be comfortable with the temperature. I also thought about the football players. It must be extremely hard for football players to run around and tackle each other outside in the blazing heat. I am sure that they still work up a sweat in an air conditioned arena, but it is probably safer from a health standpoint to play in the air conditioning. I am glad that I enjoyed a sporting event because of the air conditioning.
