My brothers and I did not have a lot of money when we were growing up.
Both of my parents worked, but there were 5 kids and a lot of mouths to feed.
My brothers and I worked hard so we could go to college. A few of my brothers moved away from town after college, but I decided to stay close. I got a degree from the local university in Business Administration. I lived at home while I was attending school, but now I have my own house. My mom and dad did everything they could to give us the things we needed when we were growing up. When my brothers and I found out that they needed a new furnace, we decided to surprise them for Christmas. A new furnace has a significant purchase and my brothers and I wanted to surprise our parents by paying for the item. A few days after Thanksgiving, my brother asked my mom and dad to come over and watch the kids for a couple of hours. While they were babysitting the grandchildren, my brothers and I had a local heating and air conditioning company install the new furnace. My brother didn’t go home until they were completely finished with the installation. When my mom and dad came home and saw what we did, they tried to argue and give us money. My Dad is really proud, but we wouldn’t take no as an answer. My brothers and I wanted to do something special for them this year to thank them for being amazing and supportive parents.
