Last week when I went to see the doctor to see if I could get to the bottom of these breathing issues that I’ve been having for the past three months, he ended up surprising me with his diagnosis and also with his prescription for it.
He said that I was simply having allergy problems and they were just worse this year than normal.
I guess I’ve developed a severe pollen allergy over the years and it’s just starting to get worse as I get older. Anyway, I was getting to the point where I was having trouble breathing in my own home, and I was feeling like the indoor air quality in my house was getting worse and worse. When I went to the doctor I told him that I felt like the indoor air quality in my house was just terrible but I thought that it was actually my lungs that were feeling terrible! He said that it might not be my lungs at all but that it might actually be an issue with the HVAC system in my house. He told me that he was going to be putting me on a new allergy medication, but at the same time, he wanted me to call up my local HVAC company to get their advice. When I got home, I called the HVAC company and they suggested that I get my ductwork professionally cleaned. On top of that, they said that if I had a whole home air purification system installed in the house, then I would be able to tell the difference in the house’s indoor air quality within a few hours.
