I was talking to my neighbor’s son last week, and he was discussing his mom’s air conditioning. He told me what was wrong with it, and how the HVAC technician should have worked on it. He said they did the servicing shabbily, and that was why the air conditioning unit wasn’t working yet. I asked him if he was an HVAC technician. He said he was in HVAC school, but he wasn’t certified. I was sure he did something with HVAC because of the level of knowledge he had with the air conditioning unit. We talked about how he is doing in HVAC school. He started talking about the air conditioning and furnace and I could feel his passion for his work. He told me his dad used to be an HVAC technician. When he passed away, his mom had to go back to work, and she left the work around the house to professionals. He wanted to give back to her for everything she did for him. He thought becoming an HVAC technician would help with some of the stress she was having. He also knew he could make good money and help with the house. Once he got married, he was planning on living in the house and taking care of his mom. His soon-to-be wife loved his mom and thought it was a wonderful idea. I asked what his mom thought about all his plans. He told me he wasn’t sure because they hadn’t talked to her yet, but he wanted to wait a little longer before bringing it up.
