I didn’t know my brother was going to HVAC school. Even though we were two of a set of triplets, we went our separate ways. We didn’t date the same girls like a lot of twins do. We don’t talk about all of our plans for the future. So, when I walked into class and my brother was there, I was surprised. I was really surprised when our sister came in five minutes later. She took one look at me, and then at Paul and started to laugh. Paul and I were identical, and if she weren’t a girl, no one could have told us apart. The doctor said it was highly unlikely for there to be two boys and a girl from one single cell, but it happened with us. I asked my sister what she was doing there, and she raised an eyebrow. Her response was to ask why we were there, and I had my answer. She sat down in the front of class, telling us we could have the back. She wanted the instructor to know who was the good looking one. The three of us studied together at night, but she was always way ahead of us in class. One afternoon I asked her why she was doing so much better than us? She laughed and told me she was dating the instructor. Paul said nice try and told her to fess up. She shrugged and reminded us she didn’t lie. We both laughed when we realized she was dating the instructor. I never thought Paul would be an HVAC technician, but it was even more weird to think Pauline would be an HVAC technician.
