I didn’t know that my dad was the Heating professor.

I was stoked for my 1st afternoon of Heating, Ventilation and A/C technical school.

My dad told me that she was stoked when she 1st went to school, and how anxious she was about making a mistake. I wished I had listened to him more closely. I knew if I did a good task at school and was awarded a full apprenticeship, I could labor for the professor for 1 year. I hoped to then leave the apprenticeship and labor in my dad’s small Heating, Ventilation and A/C contractor. I found a seat in the middle of the classroom, hoping that no one recognized my last name and acquaintanced me with my dad. I didn’t want anyone thinking I was an arrogant child and already knew everything. Dad made me go to school and she didn’t ask me to labor at the Heating, Ventilation and A/C contractor, then she wanted me to make decisions on a job based on something I wanted to do and not because I felt she needed me to labor with him, everything went out the window when the prof walked in and it was my dad, and fortunately, dad treated me like any other Heating, Ventilation and A/C trainee and never once let anyone know she was anything more than the prof to me. It was almost six weeks into class when one of the guys heard me talking to dad outside of class. She walked up and asked why I didn’t tell anyone that I was the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professor’s kid? I told him dad wanted anyone thinking I was getting any special attention. The child nodded and said I was lucky to have a dad who didn’t single me out like her dad would have.
