My shoulder ached when I turned on the air conditioning.

I had a serious injury to my shoulder when I was younger.

I was only in my twenties, but that injury has already turned into arthritis, and whenever my shoulder gets cold, it aches so badly that my fingers go numb.

I hate it during the summer. People would think my arthritis feels better, but it doesn’t. I need to have air conditioning, and whenever I turn on the air conditioning, my shoulder ached. I can’t sleep in bed, because there are ac air vents on every wall. No matter where I put my bed, air conditioning is blowing on me. I can’t drive my car comfortably. The air conditioning makes it painful. Even working is painful because of how good their air conditioning is. I have tried pulling blankets up over my arm at night, but then I feel like I am suffocating. I have tried wearing sweaters, but they don’t have sweaters with only one sleeve in them. I feel foolish with a jacket on all the time when I’m at work. I sometimes wonder if there is any place in the US where I could live and never need to use air conditioning. It would be really nice to be able to go through an entire summer without worrying about pain. I know that some day it will become debilitating, but until then, people can laugh when I wear my sweater that has one arm cut out, and the other covers my shoulder. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll be a fashion mogul and everyone will wear one sleeved sweaters, and it will come about because of my arthritis and air conditioning.
