Working full time as well as being a mom to two toddlers puts a damper on the amount of cleaning I am able to do. My office has a commercial cleaning service that comes in after all the workers are done for the day, and they perform janitorial services. They empty the trash, vacuum, and dust as well as do the carpet cleaning. I could only dream of having a house cleaner in my own house. Being a single mom does not afford myself and others much extra energy. Now that the guys are getting older, I realized that I just couldn’t be my own cleaning lady and still remain happy. The idea of contracting a maid service felt a bit upscale at first. I almost felt somewhat ashamed that I wasn’t taking complete care of the carpet cleaning as well as all that other cleaning. However, I just kept falling further as well as further behind when it came to having a clean house. Trying to do floor maintenance after job was not gonna happen. And the weekends were too full being a mom taxi for myself and others to be the carpet cleaner and maid service. That’s why getting a maid service was just something that I needed to prioritize. Fortunately, I found a maid for hire who came highly recommended by some people I know. She was enjoyable as well as even brought her own cleaning products. Now, I have some time to share with the guys or maybe even with a glass of chardonnay.
