But for air conditioning it would have to be nothing but the real thing for me
I was thinking the other day about what vintage air conditioning was. And I am not talking about old commercial or central heating and air conditioning systems. I am not even talking about window air conditioning units. I am talking about things way before this. Like almost back to the beginning of known time. They would cool themselves off in the old days before central or window air conditioning by putting dry ice in a bathtub and putting some cold or lukewarm water on it. This would give off some cooling to cool down a space in the house or area. It was a really primitive process when it comes to air conditioning, but it worked in its time. I am just glad that I did not have to live through those times. I am so reliant on central air conditioning to live in the hot summers that I do not know what I would do without it. Having dry ice in a bathtub would do nothing for me or any kind of indoor comfort. Even window air conditioning systems would be ok to have today if I could not have central air conditioning. I would just need some kind of air conditioning to be able to function. Heating I could deal with just a fireplace or something primitive like that. But for air conditioning it would have to be nothing but the real thing for me. I really feel for those from the dark ages of dry ice in bathtubs. That must have been the worst excuse for indoor cooling comfort ever!
