I feel like a lot of people throw out certain things that may have been easily fixed, but the person has no idea how to even begin tackling the task of getting it fixed themselves. Now I have to admit that I’m not particularly mechanically inclined, but sometimes, I manage to fix the little gizmos and machines around my house because I have just enough know-how. This happened to me recently. I have been using a little portable space heater for quite some time over the past few winters. It had been working like a charm all that time until one day it gave out on me. At first, I thought that it had given me enough time and I was willing to go out and buy a brand new one, especially considering the fact that they were just under $100 and that was totally within my budget. Then I thought to myself, why not attempt to fix the device myself? The worst that could happen is that I would fail and I would have to go out and buy a new one after all. I figured that money was worth taking a look, so that’s what I did. I popped off the housing and thoroughly cleaned the innards. That’s when I realized that the problem was the fan blade had been jammed by all the gunk inside. Once I thoroughly cleaned out the system, lo and behold, it worked like magic once more!! Again, I’m not a handyman, but every now and then I know just enough to save a lot of money on my machines!
