We are building an addition onto the back of our house later on this summer. This is a project that we have been trying to tackle for a long time now, but it’s finally getting to the point that we can actually do it. I’m really excited about the addition because we definitely need all of the extra space that it is going to provide once we finally get it finished. I told my husband that we could probably deal with all of the workers ourselves, but he wants to hire an HVAC contractor to do the HVAC work for the addition. I guess he feels comfortable about all of the rest of the work, but the heating, cooling, and ventilation system is something that is intimidating to him. I guess I can understand that, though. It’s one of those things where he knows that he can handle a lot of the work because he has done framing and drywall and plumbing and things like that. However, my husband has never done any type of HVAC work before and he wants to make sure that he gets everything just right on our addition. I guess that he’s erring on the side of caution, and that is probably the best thing to do in this case. I really want the addition to be perfect for us since we have been waiting for it for so long. I think that it’s going to be great and since we are going to hire an HVAC contractor, the indoor air quality should be great too.
