Last month, I had asked my wife to call the HVAC company and have the AC unit cleaned and serviced before summer.
I was watching the weather the other morning, and they were predicting temperatures in the eighties later in the week.
I had seen nothing marked on the calendar that showed the HVAC technician was supposed to be there. When she came home from work that morning, I asked if she had the chance to call the HVAC company? I knew she was tired, but if she hadn’t called, I was going to since I had the day off. She snarled at me and said that if she said she did something; she did it. She headed over to the calendar and told me she had marked it down, but she saw nothing more than I did. Her face looked puzzled. I could see she thought she had called and made an appointment, but there wasn’t anything there. After making her tea and talking for a couple of minutes, she went to bed. I called the HVAC company and asked about the appointment to have my air conditioning cleaned and serviced. The operator looked in the records and told me when the appointment was so I could be home when the HVAC technician arrived. When I got the date, my insides went into a panic mode. It was now 8AM and she told me he would be here between 7 and 11 that same morning. I’m not sure what got me thinking about the HVAC company, but I’m glad I did. I realized the calendar page had never been flipped. If I had checked, I would have seen that my wife had marked the date.
