You can’t choose where you are born. That is a fact and one that effected my entire life. I was born in a part of the country that is notorious for brutal winter weather and lots of precipitation throughout the year. That meant that if you weren’t freezing or digging yourself out of feet of snow, it was cloudy and rainy. But, when you don’t know any different, it’s just what you do. My parents took us on vacation most years but those trips were to lakes and mainly camping trips. I had really no idea that there were parts of the country where you didn’t have to huddle around the HVAC vents to get warm or dry off. I met my husband in my hometown and we raised our family right here. It’s a great community and other than the weather, it’s an excellent place to live. Our kids grew up and one went down south for college. It was on my visits to see her that I discovered a whole new world where the sun shines and the skies stay blue most of the time. It didn’t take long before I began making plans for retirement in the South. Now, I am living a life I never thought possible. I even have a sunroom that is fitted with its very own HVAC unit. My dear husband had the sunroom built on to the house as a surprise for me. He was so smart to have the HVAC people install the ductless HVAC unit. I can enjoy the sunroom all the year round.
