Believe it or not but the pandemic actually got me to do a few things that have been really beneficial.
Like everyone else, I am getting sick of being mostly at home in the HVAC.
However, that is what it takes to slow the spread and reduce the chances of getting this awful virus. But, I decided that instead of just whining and pining for the day all of this is over, I’d use the time at home wisely. Working from home has been a bit of an adjustment but, I am very comfortable with it. In fact, I am going to be part of a test group at my company to stay working from home. It takes a bit more discipline to stay working and the online meetings aren’t as productive as face to face. Yet, we are all figuring it out for the better. I have also decided to make some changes with my behavior. In the past, I have been the guy who comes home, plops down in the HVAC and does a bunch of nothing but dinner until bed. That has changed and I am exercising more than I ever have. We also pulled the trigger on an HVAC upgrade we had mulled for over a year. The HVAC people came out and installed a whole house air purifier. Initially, we wanted one because our house just smelled stale and yuck. Now, we went ahead with the whole house air purifier because of the health benefits. The whole house air purifier will produce the best indoor air quality possible. This allows for strengthening of our immune and overall health.
