Make sure you do a couple of important thing after HVAC installation

The closer the date for installation got, the more excited I became

When the HVAC technician told us that our heating and cooling equipment was at the end of the line, it wasn’t the best timing. My wife and I were both aware of the age of the HVAC equipment. Actually, that HVAC unit was sort of a point of contention for us anyway. When we bought this house, the seller was adamant that he wasn’t replacing the HVAC unit. At the time, it was almost a dozen years old. I could see his point since it had plenty of life in it. At the same time, the heating and cooling equipment just wasn’t all that great. It was certainly serviceable and delivered a basic level of quality heating and air. But it didn’t have the SEER rating we wanted nor the HVAC technology we wanted. In the end, we negotiated the price down to a point that inheriting that HVAC equipment was palatable. So we knew it was coming. Still, there were so many other things happening at the time with cars, kids and other needs that financially, we weren’t ready. But we had to get ready so we met with the HVAC contractor. That was a great meeting and we really got motivated and excited to replace the old HVAC unit. We were finally going to get all the HVAC technology that we craved. The closer the date for installation got, the more excited I became. Thankfully, my wife was listening more intently to the HVAC contractor or I would have failed to do some critical stuff. My wife made sure that the HVAC warranty got registered and that we got signed up for the HVAC service plan as well.
