Trouble beyond a buzz & sting: When the bees became our housemates & took over our Heating & Air Conditioning unit

Living within a condo that has a small garden, flowers, & trees around it was a dream come true.

What I didn’t anticipate was that the bees buzzing around would eventually transport into my home until I started seeing more than one in the home with all the windows & doors closed.

It wasn’t until my hubby noticed them buzzing near the vents of our Heating & Air Conditioning unit, that my friend and I understood that they’d found residence in our HVAC duct. I panicked wondering how my friend and I were going to get rid of them & who to call for that. My buddy and I decided to try the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier & called their house services for help after my friend and I read that they could harm the system & incur an Ac repair on us. The Heating & Air Conditioning professional came around, & while they checked out how much of the a/c was now a beehive, I learned that they transport in because they are escaping the heat of summer. The Heating & Air Conditioning specialist mentioned that it was usual & they would have to call a bee handler to detach them before cleaning the air duct of any dirt & wax left by the bees. My buddy and I were keen on getting the bees detached without harming them or anyone & the handler managed to transport them to a beehive safely however it was hectic. After they were out, the Heating & Air Conditioning service experts cleaned out the a/c vents of anything that would mess with indoor air quality. They also sealed the ducts to ensure that the bees stayed off because my friend and I were not planning to split the trees or the flowers in our compound. Though I’m disappointed that there was no honey in the Ac filter, at least the bees didn’t harm the equipment’s capacity to help with indoor comfort.
