I couldn’t stop thinking about this van my partner and I went to see yesterday.
We had been dreaming of buying a van for a while. We wanted one that we could convert into a comfortable living space for our camping trips. We’ve seen a lot of vans, but none of them caught our interest until we saw the one we went to see yesterday. What differentiated it from the other ones is that it had heating and cooling equipment; although it would only work when the engine was on, it’s still a great thing to have in the van to make our trips feel more comfortable. Ideally, we would get a van with zone-controlled HVAC to regulate the temperature in different areas of the van, or a ductless mini-split system, but it would be too expensive for us. Actually, when I looked for “vans for sale”, many of them were equipped with modern heating and air conditioning devices, and even some with electric and wood stoves. These options are too costly for us, so we will have to make do with a more basic option. One of the most common ways to heat a van is with a butane gas heater. With butane gas, you can also power a fridge as well as a stove. What me and my partner want is to be able to go camping anytime we want, knowing that our heater can keep us warm on chilly nights and the air conditioner can keep us cool on hot days.
