I haven’t always been a huge fan of sports.
I Love My wife and I’ve tried to find ways that we can enjoy some of her hobbies together. Since she’s a huge hockey fan, I like to go to hockey games with her at least once a month. When I was a kid, the only sport I ever watched was college football. I used to watch the college football games with my brothers and my father in the living room on Saturday afternoon. It was nice on one hand, but I was frustrated because I always wanted to be outside playing instead. It wasn’t as fun for me to watch sports as it was for me to play them. So more often than not I would get with a few of my friends from around the block and play a game of two hand touch football instead of watching the games with my family. But after I went to college I pretty much quit thinking about sports altogether until I’m at my wife. She loves hockey because she’s from the north. She grew up playing hockey with her siblings and watching the games in the living room with her entire family. When I decided to go to a hockey game with her for the first time, I had no idea how cold the rink was going to be. I figured I could just wear a long sleeve shirt and I would be fine, but I should have realized that the massive air chillers inside of the rank would need to keep the air cool enough to prevent the ice from melting. While it’s not as cold in the stands as it is right next to the rink, it’s still cold sitting in your seat.
