I’m happy that I’m not having to spend nearly as much money on various expenses anymore.
Even though inflation keeps going up, I’ve managed to budget well enough to afford most of my groceries.
On top of that, I got rid of a bunch of random bills that I didn’t really need anymore. Like a lot of the people I know, I subscribed to way too many video streaming services. While I only subscribed to one single music streaming service, I had at least four or five different video streaming services on my subscription roll every single month coming out of my credit card. And naturally those expenses begin to add up very quickly. So between that and spending less money at the grocery store every month. I am doing a lot better financially. But one of the other things that I needed to address in my house was the energy expenses. Aside from telling my kids to quit leaving on lights when they don’t need to be, as well as keeping windows and doors shut to not waste on cooling costs, there were also some issues with the cooling system I wasn’t even aware about. Apparently the compressor wasn’t working the way it was supposed to and it was leading to the entire HVAC system running harder and longer than it would otherwise and that would have kept happening had I not called the heating and cooling company when I did. They sent out a technician and he did an inspection on my entire HVAC system. Luckily, the compressor was still under warranty with the HVAC manufacturer so I was able to get a new component replaced without spending any of my own money. Now my air conditioner is working properly again and I’m spending less on electricity to run it during the day.
