Usually it’s pretty damn extreme when it comes to temperatures in this area. This last summer was excruciatingly hot for example. I couldn’t even wear blue jeans without the threat of sweating to death on a random hot afternoon. In the past I used to take trips down to the lake on the weekends when I had some time away from work. While everyone in the area I enjoy likes to enjoy the late, this is a pretty small community so it’s not like the banks and the shores are completely filled on every Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon. Us I used to get a lot of time to go swimming away from other people. But this year it’s been so hot that even at the lake I can’t escape the heat. I’m cooped up in the house running the air conditioner. I figured we would have an equally extreme winter, but the warm temperatures persisted throughout the rest of the year. We had a warm autumn, and then we had a warm winter. It’s very strange because we usually get cold temperatures with blizzards and ice storms throughout the winter months. I can’t complain though because that means I don’t have to pay nearly as much to keep my house in the winter. Winter heating costs are some of the biggest burdens on anyone throughout the year. With inflation and raising the price on nearly everything, I was especially worried about winter hitting costs this year. So knowing that they’re going to continue to be low throughout the rest of the year is really reassuring to me.
