Back when he was a little boy, our son Raymond used to pretend that he was an HVAC technician.
- My husband and I used to love it whenever he would play that because it was just so cute to see him going around the house with his little pretend tools.
He would put on his pretend tool belt and go around to the air conditioning vents and play like he was taking them off and putting them back on again. We always thought that it was so adorable. We got him his own little tool set when he was five. However, we really had to keep an eye on him because he got tired of pretending that he was working on the HVAC system sometimes. A few times, I actually caught him taking the covers off of the air conditioning vents. I was afraid that he might throw something down into the ductwork and we would never be able to get it out. He was not too mischievous though. Usually he just pretended that he was working on the heating and cooling system for us. I really liked it whenever he would scribble down the cost and give it to me on a little notepad. He would tell me that he was just giving me the bill for fixing the furnace for me. It was really adorable. We always thought that maybe he would go to school to become an HVAC technician, but he did not end up going that route. He owns his own business now as a plumber.
