I called the plumber last week because I had a leak in my bathroom.
The steady dripping at night had me sleeping fitfully, and I was about to go ballistic.
I had a large wrench in hand and was going to beat the faucet into submission, but my dad told me not to do it. He said if I broke the faucet, I could end up with more than a leak. He told me to be patient, and he would come over and repair the leak for me. I had forgotten that dad was a plumber before he retired. He knew all about leak repair service, and he was the perfect person to help me out. Not only could he repair the leak, but I wouldn’t need to pay for his service. That’s what I thought. I ended up paying for a new faucet because lime and calcium in my water had the inside of my pipes corroded. We had to go to town and buy a new faucet and pipes that led up to it. He bought all plastic pipe and told me he wanted to change out all the faucets and put in plastic pipe. I was worried about what a simple leak repair service was going to cost me. Had it been a plumber and not my dad, he would have just repaired the leak and not thought about any of the other pipes. I thought I was going to get away cheap by calling dad, but I was wrong. Once the plumber in him came out and he saw the damage, he was all set to go to work.
