Did you know that some pets can be protective over heating and AC temperatures just like people can? If you want to tell me this I never would have guessed that this is even a thing but it’s true my dog is crazy protective over the heating system.
- He doesn’t want anybody else to go and change the temperature on the thermostat.
He’ll literally lay right under the vent in the house where the heat is coming out and enjoy the warmth from the air vents. There was this one time that I went to change the thermostat and he was laying near the thermostat like he was guarding it! I thought maybe he just liked that spot but he was actually guarding it until I tried to change the thermostat and he actually growled at me. I couldn’t believe it when it happened and I scolded him. I’m not going to let my dog run the household. Instead, I got him something that I knew he would like. He loves to go outside and he likes to be comfortable so I went and bought him a heated dog house. Ever since I’ve gotten him the heated dog house it seems like he never wants to go inside anymore. He just loves it out there! I spent the perfect solution because he is nice and warm and happy and I get to control my thermostat again. I love my heating and AC system just as much as he does. Now we can both have our temperature preferences.
