The past few days, I have been really considering getting HVAC service.
Although I knew that HVAC service was available from my local heating and air conditioning business, I had never considered getting the A/C service because I never thought I would use it.
However, just a few days ago I could have used it. You see, I breed warm water tropical fish for a living. My home is generally kept warm enough for fish where I don’t need a heater, so long as my home is kept in the high 70s, low 80s. But when my furnace system died, the temperatures started dropping rapidly. I live in a cold northern state, and we have freezing winters here. My fish are rather sensitive to temperature change, and drastic change in temperature like this could hurt or even kill them. This is when I jumped into action and called for emergency HVAC service. The emergency HVAC service was incredibly expensive, but worth it when the A/C technician had the furnace unit working in under 15 minutes again. After that experience, I realized that if I had their HVAC service plan, the emergency service would have been completely free for me. This had me really thinking about getting their service plan, but I am just not sure whether I will use it again. My heating unit is working fine now, and that was the first time I ever had issues with it. However, it might be better to be on the safe side and have it just in case.
