While I waited for the central air conditioning to be fixed, I was feeling quite uncomfortable without it. Thankfully the apartment complex I live in is very nice, and as soon as I complained about the central A/C, they were on top of repairing it immediately. Not only that, but they had the HVAC company bring out a portable air conditioner for me to help keep me comfortable. As much as I appreciate the portable air conditioner, it is just not as good at keeping the air cool like the central HVAC is, and I miss that. I even went out and bought a box fan to help circulate the air around my apartment, but even those two combined are not as good as the main HVAC system. Now it is just a matter of a waiting game. The HVAC business said that they could have the central air conditioning repaired by this week, and I hope that is true. Since it is in the middle of summer, all of the heating and cooling corporations are very busy, because everyone seems to need their HVAC units maintained or fixed. While I wait, I have been stopping by a nearby cafe that has great indoor air quality and a fine HVAC unit too. This gives me a chance to enjoy their pastries and coffee as well as get some cooling relief that I need. I will be so glad when the central HVAC is working like normal again. Until then I will just have to use the portable HVAC system and my box fan.
