Our sister used to have temperature preferences like us.
We’d never run the automobile Heating and A/C system, just use the windows to catch a breeze.
When the snow came, we all wanted the fireplace turned on at the same time. As it got hotter, we never bothered with a cooling system. Our sister got by simply with a box fan in her room during heat waves. However, now she is going through menopause. It’s taking quite some time and our sister is always battling heat flashes. We’ve realized our sister doesn’t sleep as well, exercises harder and is always changing her outfits. Another big change is that she requires the air conditioner to be on. Our sister no longer likes us with temperature. When we hop into the automobile to go to the mall with her, the air conditioner comes on. Our sister can’t get by with fresh air anymore. During the wintertime, she doesn’t like using the heating system. When she gets a heat flash, she sweats and doesn’t want the heating system making it worse. Our sister now owns a ductless mini split in her room. She sleeps with A/C blasting on her every night. The poor thing says she sleeps in her underwear, A/C blowing on her to cool her off. We feel so sorry for her. When we visit our sister in the summertime, we need to be prepared to be chilly. We always dress in warmer clothes so that we can be comfortable with the colder temperature control setting.
