Ever since the people I was with and I were youngsters, my sister has consistently had to be better than me at everything… It just drives me crazy.
Most recently, she decided that she was going to try to get our parents a better birthday present than the one that I was getting.
I told her that it was the dumbest thing that I had ever heard of because it wasn’t supposed to be a contest! She just adores that, though. I don’t believe what her deal is, but it has to be something that is left over from childhood. She is just always trying to one up me for some reason. When it comes to getting a present for our parents, I just want them to have something that they will adore as well as that they will use in the future. I was thinking that maybe I might get them a modern insert for their gas log fireplace. When I was at the heating, ventilation as well as A/C company looking at the gas logs, my sister came into the store! I was surprised to see her come in as well and after that I overheard her talking to one of the sales guys in the store. She was talking to him about purchasing a completely modern heating as well as cooling system for our parents, including a whole house air cleaner! I was shocked to hear how much cash she was planning on spending on their gift, and on top of that, she was planning to pay for the upgrade as well as everything too. I can’t even imagine how far she is willing to go to look better than me in front of our parents.
