Ever since every one of us were kids, my sibling has constantly had to be better than me at everything, then it drives me crazy.
Most recently, she decided that she was going to simply try to get our parents a better anniversary present than the one that I was getting.
I told her that it was the dumbest thing that I had ever heard of because it wasn’t supposed to be a contest, and she just cared about that, though. I don’t suppose what her deal is, but it has to be something that is left over from childhood. She is just constantly trying to one up me for some reason… When it comes to getting a present for our parents, I just want them to have something that they will care about and that they will use in the future. I was thinking that maybe I might get them a current insert for their gas log fireplace. When I was at the heating and A/C supplier looking at the gas logs, my sibling came into the store! I was surprised to see her come in and then every one of us overheard her talking to one of the sales guys in the store. She was talking to him about purchasing a completely current heating and cooling plan for our parents, including a whole current home air cleaner! I was shocked to hear how much currency she was planning on spending on their gift… On top of that, she was planning to pay for the upgrade and everything too. I just can’t believe how far she is willing to go to look better than me in front of our parents.
