Ever since both of us were youngsters, my sister has always had to be better than myself and others at everything, it drives myself and others crazy; most recently, she decided that she was going to try to get our parents a better anniversary present than the 1 that I was getting.
I told her that it was the dumbest thing that I had ever heard of because it wasn’t supposed to be a contest.
She is just similar to that, though. I don’t believe what her deal is, however it has to be something that is left over from childhood. She is just consistently trying to 1 up myself and others for some reason, and when it comes to getting a present for our parents, I just want them to have something that they will love and that they will use in the future. I was thinking that maybe I might get them a new insert for their gas log fireplace. When I was at the heating and A/C company looking at the gas logs, my sister came into the store! I was surprised to see her come in and after that I overheard her talking to 1 of the sales guys in the store. She was talking to him about purchasing a completely new heating and cooling program for our parents, including a whole beach house whole-house air purifier! I was also shocked to hear how much currency she was planning on spending on their gift, however on top of that, she was planning to pay for the replacement and everything too. I can’t guess how far she is willing to go to look better than myself and others in front of our own parents.
