Ever since we were kids, my sister has always had to be better than me at everything. It drives me crazy. Most recently, she decided that she was going to try to get our parents a better anniversary present than the one that I was getting. I told her that it was the dumbest thing that I had ever heard of because it wasn’t supposed to be a contest. She’s just like that, though. I don’t know what her deal is, but it has to be something that is left over from childhood. She is just constantly trying to one up me for some reason. When it comes to getting a present for our parents, I just want them to have something that they will like and that they will use in the future. I was thinking that maybe I might get them a new insert for their gas log fireplace. When I was at the HVAC company looking at the gas logs, my sister came into the store! I was surprised to see her come in and then I overheard her talking to one of the sales guys in the store. She was talking to him about purchasing a completely new heating and cooling system for our parents, including a whole home air purification system! I was shocked to hear how much money she was planning on spending on their gift. On top of that, she was planning to pay for the installation and everything too. I can’t believe how far she is willing to go to look better than me in front of our parents.
