Over the holidays last year, our home’s furnace offered out on us… It ended up being 3 afternoons before an Heating, Ventilation & A/C specialist was able to come out plus repair the furnace.

There were a few sources of heat that the two of us ended up being able to use… For a single, I sure did do a lot of baking! I baked cookies, baked muffins, plus roasted chicken, etc. The people I was with and I still had electricity, which meant that the two of us could still use the oven plus stove, plus it most definitely warmed up the immediate area of the kitchen. The people I was with and I also did laundry, so at least, the laundry room had the benefit of the dryer running, which kept that room nice plus hot so long as clothes were in the dryer. The people I was with and I also had the fireplace in the living room, which was perhaps the most enjoyable means of getting heat without our furnace. The fireplace was big enough to where the fire that the two of us stoked every night kept us hot in the living room as the two of us fellowshipped with a single another. I suppose the toughest time for us while the two of us were in those few afternoons was when the two of us tried to get some rest in our own dining rooms. The people I was with and I had to get extra blankets plus pull out those aged space heaters, and all in all, the two of us still thoroughly enjoyed that time over the holidays, however the two of us were thankful that the furnace was eventually fixed.
