I’ve been coaching middle school soccer for more than four years now.
I stumbled into the coaching position because the school was desperate for a coach as well as I was the only a single willing to do it.
I’ve been responsible for middle school ladies ever since, despite the hard mornings, I can truthfully say that I like coaching these ladies. Middle school ladies are awkward as well as embarrassing as well as they’re still figuring out life, one of the things our ladies struggle with the most is running. They do not like being warm as well as they do not like running. If it’s a warm afternoon as well as we’re outside, they’re not cheerful. Last week, a single of the schools both of us were competing against invited us to play on their indoor field due to unexpected rain as well as storms. My ladies were delighted to play inside as well as they were talking about how cool as well as refreshing it was going to feel. However, as soon as both of us walked into the indoor stadium, both of us were greeted by an overwhelming amount of heat as well as humidity. There was no air conditioning running inside the building, as well as the only source of air was coming from large, industrial sized fans, but even though the doors were wide open, the rain was creating excess humidity as well as it was making the air thick. During the game, I was regularly subbing out our players due to the heat as well as humidity. Needless to say, both of us lost the game as well as our ladies were complaining about the lack of air conditioning the entire way home. I suppose they’ve all chosen the wrong sport to play.
