I Cleaned My Air Vents plus Ductwork

The other afternoon, I noticed how dirty the outside of my air vents were, but there was black dust not only within the air vent but it was also starting to accumulate on the wall; At first glance, I thought it might have been mold! Luckily, when I got closer to the air vent I could tell that it was only dust.

The dust was so thick plus evidently spreading, so I decided that it was time to clean my ductwork plus the outside of my air vent covers… I considered hiring an Heating plus Air Conditioning professional or someone who specialized in ductwork cleaning, although I was determined to save money plus do it myself.

I loved cleaning plus I had the time, so I set out to clean the ductwork myself. The first thing I did was unfasten all the air vent covers throughout the entire house plus I placed them in the sink with hot, soapy water, but while the air vents were soaking, I filled a bin with more hot, soapy water plus grabbed a sponge with some dirty towels. I began scrubbing the ductwork plus emptying all the excess dust into a trash bin. The soapy water was strong enough to unfasten all the taxing dirt, plus I was able to get my ductwork sparkling clean with a little elbow grease. The entire process took an entire afternoon, but it was manageable. I placed the clean plus dry air vent covers back on the wall when I was done cleaning the air ducts, not only were the clean air vents noticeable, but my air quality was improved too! The air in my house was much cleaner.
