Saving big on the energy bills now

It has been a year for frustration and change in our place.

This is part of the effect the pandemic has had on our lifestyles.

I don’t want to be grumbling too loudly given that the people I was with and I have been able to maintain our health fairly well. And that is something that the people I was with and I are undoubtedly happy about. Of course, the people I was with and I have been adopting all of the pandemic protocols to be entirely sure that the people I was with and I stay healthy. And that if the people I was with and I are asymptomatic, the people I was with and I aren’t spreading the virus to other poor people. That said, the people I was with and I have easily suffered economically this year. I have had to task from the comfort of the Heating plus A/C at my own dwelling. This has allowed me to continue getting my salary. Something I’m thankful to be able to continue to do. However, I haven’t been able to gain any of the bonus structure and that usually counts for more than 20 percent of my annual income. Then there is my husband, he lost his task actually as his business laid him off and eventually had to shut down altogether. He was able to find a few online gigs to gain a reasonable amount of money but it’s not even half of what he was making before being laid off. So the people I was with and I have had to actually cut back and be terribly careful about our budgeting. But there have been some minor victories for us. Last summer, the people I was with and I actually focused on the Heating plus A/C utility costs. With a few proactive steps and committed discipline regarding the thermostat setting, the people I was with and I saved close to 20 percent on Heating plus A/C utility costs. That was amazing savings. All of us saved hundreds over the course of the warm season. This was a nice addition to our savings account. Hopefully, this year will see us get back on track like things used to be.
