I just hate the cold nights. Going to sleep is the only way I can really get warm. However, my plight is not near as bad as my wife’s. She has to be the chilliest lady to ever live. She’s the warmest hearted person I have ever known but she sure gets so effected by the cold. Thankfully, our HVAC has helped her to be able to at least not freeze. Her level of comfort with the indoor temperature is really weird. She is forever cold but then can become so hot so quickly. The worst is when she is inside the house and the cold is banging away outside. Strangely, she handles being out in the cold so much better. But, I think that is simply because she is prepared to be cold when she is outside. Inside is a much different matter. She simply can’t find an HVAC setting that she can find at all comfortable. Her near constant messing with the thermostat is making me crazy. So, I called the HVAC people to see what they could do to help us. His idea was fairly logical. The HVAC guy suggested that we switch our HVAC unit to a zone control system. This way, we could manage different parts of the house in order for her to have a more finely tuned HVAC environment. That is exactly what we ended up doing and the results have been excellent. My wife is now able to effectively manage the HVAC so she can be comfortable in most any section of the house.
