My wife went through a whole bunch of work getting our bedroom professionally designed. She called up an interior designer that did a glamorous bedroom theme. What is a glamour bedroom theme? It is basically what a single woman or a little girl wanting to be a princess would pick. I feel ridiculous in our new bedroom now. We have bright white, puffy sheets and pillows. All our furniture is elegant, swirly and white as well. The curtains, rug and even end tables look super feminine. The interior designer did a good job creating the theme. There is nothing that wasn’t changed to make it look like an old Queen or pretty princess inherited the bedroom. I don’t want to hurt my wife’s feelings and tell her that I can’t stand the look of our space. I think I am just going to suck it up. I did remember that the interior design company does work with a custom furniture builder. I have thought about demanding a few custom pieces made. I would like a custom made gun cabinet to keep in our bedroom. I also would like a custom end table that has a plug within the table that is easy to charge my phone. I would like cubbies instead of drawers with the table as well. I think that will make the room look a tad more manly. No, it won’t go with the theme but it will make me happy. My wife will have to meet me in the middle and allow our room to look like a man also sleeps in there.
