My wife was planning a big get together for a few weeks.
I thought she had everything under control, but then she started freaking out about everything.
She was second-guessing the type of food we were going to have, like if people should have access to food that was gluten-free or if there would be people with nut allergies. I told her she should just get a little bit of everything so that everybody would be happy. Then she was going on about the massive expense of catering to everybody like that. And then, like a cue from heaven that this get together wasn’t going to work out, the air conditioning system shut off following a loud banging noise. I went to check the HVAC and it was actually smoking. I thought that was strange because I had been keeping up with the air filter changes and everything. I went back to my wife and said the food we were getting was going to be the least of our problems because this HVAC situation looked serious. Then she started freaking out even more because of this new issue with the HVAC. I told her to calm down and I would take care of the HVAC complication while she sorted out everything for the get together. I told her the get together was going to be a big hit, and she would be able to relax once everything was taken care of. I was able to have an HVAC technician come out, and the concern with the A/C wasn’t as serious as I expected it would be. Also, the get together really was a big hit, and we had a fantastic time.
