My husband and I had been talking about having a fireplace installed in the house.
After three years of talking, I was tired of bringing up the subject. I was online and saw a really nice fireplace that was electric, but it had a case that looked like a real fireplace. I ordered the fireplace, and waited for it to be delivered. My husband was home when the fireplace was delivered. I knew it wasn’t what we wanted, but it was all I could find. He hadn’t been doing anything to get the fireplace, so I did. When he got home and saw the box, he opened it. I got home from work, and he was staring at the fireplace. He wanted to know what it was. I told him it was a fireplace. He told me he thought I wanted a fireplace, and not a decoration. I wanted a fireplace. I didn’t care if it was decorative, or not. He wasn’t very happy, and he walked away. I knew he was angry, but I didn’t care. If he didn’t want a fireplace, he should have told me. I probably still would have bought the decorative fireplace, but I would have asked his opinion on which one he wanted. Two days later, he told me I should return the fireplace. He was going to call a contractor and get a quote on the installation of a fireplace. He said if I wanted to keep the fireplace until we got the quote, it would be okay. He wasn’t sure if we could put a fireplace in our home.
