Aren’t all AC units made the same?

After our fiance & I purchased our current house, the people I was with and I had a lot of changes the people I was with and I wanted to make.

There were a few major changes, like redoing the bathrooms, putting current flooring in the home office, & installing a current Heating & A/C system.

We weren’t planning on moving into our current lake house until these repairs were made. There were some minor changes that needed to be done, however the people I was with and I could do what the people I was with and I were residing in the house. After installing all current appliances in the bathroom & current hardware, the people I was with and I started on the home office flooring. We had to rip up all the tiles on the floor & the walls. We had a current farmhouse sink & faucet to install, & then I started putting down all the current tiles. We were now down to having our current Heating & A/C plan installed, so I called the Heating & A/C business. When the Heating & A/C company arrived at the house, the people I was with and I told him what the people I was with and I wanted. I wanted traditional central heating & cooling system throughout. We wanted to have zone control, & I also wanted an air purification plan installed. When the Heating & A/C Tech asked us what kind of cooling system the people I was with and I wanted, I was speechless. I thought all AC units were made the same, however apparently I was wrong. He started talking about energy Star, energy ratings, & size & style. I told him I wasn’t a stupid person, however it would be nice if he would start showing us something that I could look at & read. He told us that normally he would bring out all the paperwork so the people I was with and I could see what he was talking about, but he just did not guess about it.
