When he could finally get the air filter out, I felt horrible
Being a single mom, I occasionally neglect some of our bills to make sure our children are fed, clothed, & have everything they need for school. Before our fiance left, I always had a great pad in our savings account. If anything were to come up as an emergency, I had plenty of money in the savings account to cover it. Now that I’m a single mom, I have no savings. I have just enough money in our bank account to keep our bills paid & to afford the necessities, then last week, I realized that I had not had our air filters changed in either the cooling system unit or the oil furnace since our fiance left nearly 8 weeks ago. When I went to pull the air filter out of the cooling system unit, I could not do it. The air filter was stuck, & I had to call the Heating & A/C business. When the Heating & A/C specialist showed up at our house, he went directly to the AC unit. He asked if I hadbeen having any complication with the amount of cooling system I had coming out of the air vents. I could not truthfully tell him if I noticed any difference, however when I put our hand in front of the air vent I noticed that the airflow was weak. He said he hoped that the air filter was not doing any injure to the AC unit. When he could finally get the air filter out, I felt horrible. I was sure I was going to end up with a giant bill, although I wasn’t sure how much. He told myself and others he wasn’t going to charge myself and others for decreasing the air filter, although I needed to remember to change the air filter at least every 6 weeks.
