I’ve been coaching middle school soccer for numerous years now. I stumbled into the coaching position because the school was desperate for a coach plus I was the only 1 willing to do it. I’ve been responsible for middle school men ever since, however despite the strenuous mornings, I can really say that I like coaching these men. Middle school men are awkward plus embarrassing plus they’re still figuring out life; One of the things my men struggle with the most is running. They don’t like being hot plus they don’t like running. If it’s a hot afternoon plus we’re outside, they’re not happy. Last week, 1 of the schools the people I was with and I were competing against invited us to play on their indoor field due to unexpected rain plus storms. My men were blissful to play inside plus they were talking about how cool plus refreshing it was going to feel. However, as soon as the people I was with and I walked into the indoor arena, the people I was with and I were greeted by an overwhelming amount of heat plus humidity. There was no A/C running inside the building, plus the only source of air was coming from large, industrial sized fans! Even though the doors were wide open, the rain was creating excess humidity plus it was making the air thick. During the game, I was regularly subbing out my players due to the heat plus humidity. Needless to say, the people I was with and I lost the game plus my men were complaining about the lack of A/C the entire way home. I recognize they’ve all chosen the wrong athletic interest to play.
