Without a/c, I was suffering plus I almost felt sick.
Every morning I get out of bed plus I turn on the news so I can watch the weather. It seems that no matter what he says, the weather is constantly different. I got into the habit of dressing for whatever he doesn’t call for. The other afternoon, he announced that it was going to be in the sixties plus sunny. I dressed in long pants plus had a matching overcoat. I entirely thought it was going to be freezing that afternoon. I had to confess that it was freezing enough to turn on the heating in our car. I got to work, expecting to have the furnace running. I sad that I was still going to be cold, since they didn’t have the furnace on. I was talking to the HR person, plus he told me that the weather report called for the upper sixties. They were trying to conserve energy plus do their part, along with the rest of the world. They turned the furnace off plus thought that everyone would supply enough body heat to keep the room warm. I could know the warmth beneath our collar. I finally decided to take off our overcoat, ecstatic that I had on a sleeveless sweater. The high collar wasn’t doing me any good. Without a/c, I was suffering plus I almost felt sick. I asked HR if they had a portable A/C device I could use. He told me that it wasn’t that hot. He also said that if I had checked the weather I would have dressed for the warmer weather.
