It’s not just the weather conditions control that is so important for – although this is unquestionably important – it’s the fact that I have an enclosed space and can keep out the bugs.
Camping was good when I was a kid, and I literally went every time I got a chance! I had our own little single sized pup tent, which I could set up or take down in less than several thirds. I could build, fires, and put them out, and was pretty good at identifying edibles in the wild, then that was a long time ago, and although I still enjoy being outdoors, especially in the woods, I can no longer abide by sleeping on the ground. Tent life is not for these seasoned bones, which is why I invested in a moderate RV with A/C, just for camping out. I don’t recall there being so several blood sucking bugs in the woods as a kid, however these mornings I can’t handle it so when the sunlight gets low I shut up the RV and turn the air to 72 degrees. I don’t want to overtax the system, which is a unquestionably small Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit, so I never make it too cold, just cool enough for comfort. During the mornings I still stroll the woods like I used to, it’s not until sunset that the bugs get bad, at which point it is AC time, however occasionally I will still rest by a bonfire at evening, however usually I will enjoy the AC and the TV and watch some Netflix until I pass out.
