Every year during the fall, I think it is important to get a tune-up performed on our furnace. My wife and I have been living in this house for almost 8 years now and the furnace was in the house when we signed the papers. I think one of the reasons that it works so well as due to the fact that my wife and I consistently provide the right maintenance to keep all of the internal mechanisms running efficiently. Our heating company recommended that we have a service performed every year before winter begins. My wife and I have this service performed during the middle of September. Sometimes October can bring snow and ice, and both of us think it is important to be prepared for a winter emergency. Some people have the furnace tuned up again after the winter season is over, but my wife and I do not believe that is necessary and neither does our heating company. My wife and I are lucky to live in part of the country where we do not have to worry about running the AC. Two of our kids live in a tropical climate area and they have to use the AC eight or nine months out of the year. They never get any snow or ice. I have visited the kids a couple of times throughout the year, but I always miss home. I don’t know if it is the people or the climate, but I always find myself thinking about going back before the vacation is usually over.
