My brother and I finally had enough money to start our town’s first heating maintenance and services business. Our town has so much potential for the growth of small businesses, and given the type of summers and winters that we experience, this new venture was up-and-coming. My brother had a draft of the services we would offer, including HVAC installation and fireplace maintenance. People from my town are forced to outsource the services of an HVAC professional from different towns, and this means that it could take more than a day or two for something as simple as heating repair. We also offer professional consultation for new homeowners or people looking to upgrade or install a new heating device. Besides heating equipment installations, there will also be electric heater-related repairs and servicing. And since most people still had dial thermostats, we would introduce them to more technologically advanced ones as a more viable option for their furnace. The business arranges that I will manage and run the business while my brother will be in charge of the technical bit of it. We would also begin by hiring one heating technician and add more when business picks up. We were both excited to start the new venture together and make it a family legacy.
