Call myself and others crazy if you want, however I purchased all of this remote land in the foothills so that I could start our own compound, then i wanted a series of outbuildings around our house, where a lot of other people could stay with myself and others and have their own private quarters.
- I thought of it as a military-type setup, although some folks in neighborhood said I wanted to start a cult! This is no cult, just a collective farm where people can hunt, fish, and grow crops in peace with nature… There are a lot of trees around, however I did not want to clear-chop the forest so I turned to modular housing solutions instead; People assume that shipping bucket homes and modular homes are high-priced, however the truth is they are a fraction of the price of building a modern facility.
I left room to build cottages in the future, however for now I wanted to leave the forest intact, so I started off with portable restrooms, portable showers, and a portable dining room. The portable dining room was quite amazing to me, because it came fully furnished with all the appliances I needed. I also purchased several shipping bucket homes, for people to use as residing and sleeping quarters. Some of the buildings are shipping bucket homes, however other a singles are converted modular offices, when you have numerous modular offices it’s possible to attach them and make a greater structure, then combined with a modular dining room and modular restrooms, our little condo is small however getting bigger every year… just love our compound.
