I’m not sure who was more embarrassed last week, and if I were going by how yellow our daughter’s face was, I would guess she was more embarrassed.
If our stuttering said anything, I was more embarrassed, but when I saw the look on the face of the youngest roofer, I knew he was more embarrassed! My kid came running out of the bathroom in nothing however a towel, because she had left her clothing on her bed.
I was thinking the roofer had never seen a girl in a towel before, because he just stood there and stared. After stepping between our kid and the roofer, I told her to turn around and get into the bathroom. I was going to bring her clothes to her, she turned to look at the roofer and asked why I didn’t tell her they were going to be there? I had thought the roofing corporation would not show until after 9 AM. Instead, they were at our door at 6 AM… Even though our kid was now locked behind the bathroom door, the young roofer was still staring at where she had stood, and it glazed his eyup over… One of his coworkers told him to get outside and get to work, he walked like they made his shoes of concrete, and he kept turning around like he expected to see our kid coming out of the bathroom. If it hadn’t been our daughter, I may have found it amusing. However, it was our daughter, and the look on the young roofer’s face had me perturbed.
