I like fixing things and I like dealing with my customers
I’m really glad that I became an HVAC technician instead of a lawyer! I know that that sounds like a weird kind of thing to say. Most people would probably say that they would prefer to be a lawyer because lawyers make tons of money. I guess that is true, but another thing that lawyers have to deal with is the fact that they are constantly working and bringing their work home with them. Plus, their jobs are super important and sometimes can leave people hanging between life and death situations. I just don’t think that I would be very good at dealing with that kind of stress at my job. Anyway, now that I am a heating and cooling technician instead of a lawyer, I don’t ever have to bring my work home with me at all. I go to work, pick up my HVAC truck, and go to my clients’ homes and businesses to get their heating and cooling systems fixed. Then I drop off my truck and I go back home for the night. I never have to worry about anything that I have done during the day when I’m working. I really think that it is the way to go. I know that I probably could have done a lot of different careers, but honestly, being an HVAC technician makes me happy. I like fixing things and I like dealing with my customers. Most of the time, I even enjoy my coworkers! I’m really glad that I became an HVAC technician instead of going to law school like I originally planned.
