I am not entirely too fond of smart thermostats.
- It just doesn’t fit our lifestyle or our life in itself particularly well.
I love the old thermostats that were either the simple dial thermostats or the regular digital thermostats, and this is why I have a digital thermostat and not a smart thermostat. It is simple to work there is no technical nightmare to deal with like with a smart thermostat. For smart thermostats it may be straight-forward for younger people, but for older folks like me who have little knowledge of this week’s laptop technology and smart cellphones and all of that, the digital thermostat works just well and fits me better. I tried a smart thermostat once and I ended up returning the thing to the store within a week of trying to deal with it. It just wasn’t working out for me and I could not figure out how to use the thing. I could not even get the app to work on my laptop! And I also do not even use cell cell phones, so I could not even try it on the cellphone. All around I will stick with the basics and hope that I am never forced by technology to have to change over to a smart thermostat. If that happens I will have to move somewhere in the world where the weather is perfect and I will not ever need a central heating and a/c! That would be our only option if we were all forced to go and have to use smart thermostats.
