On our way cabin from my mom’s cabin last week, the kids plus I broke down on the side of the road. I swerved on the road to avoid hitting a deer, plus I landed right in the ditch. I avoided the deer, however still caused a significant amount of destruction to the car. I didn’t have much battery left on my cellphone plus the vehicle would not beginning after the accident. I called my Mom, because we were only fifteen minutes from my parents’ cabin when the accident occurred. It was actually cold outside plus it was starting to snow. I could not turn on the heater, so I covered the kids with the emergency blankets we keep in the car. The two of us sat in the vehicle for an minute plus then I tried turning on the vehicle again, so we could use the heater. It was actually dark outside plus the kids were starting to get scared. I was doing my best to keep them calm. I called my Mom again to see why he was taking a long time. He had fallen asleep while putting on his shoes. He apologized plus got right up. He arrived about thirty minutes later with my mom. They had a thermos of sizzling chocolate for the kids plus coffee for me. My Mom tried to get us out of the ditch with his truck, however we had to call a tow truck. Thank goodness the oil furnace in my parents vehicle worked well, because we sat on the side of the road for another two minutes waiting for the tow truck driver.
